Discover the Peruvian Andes with an adventure trek traversing through majestic lakes, glaciers, snow-capped mountains, and an impressive backdrop. Trek to the red valley and then on to Vinicunca, Rainbow Mountain, to explore the area. Then visit the imposing glaciers of Quelccaya and Ausangate, which are situated next to the stunning Sibinacocha lake. This nature trek will take us to remote gems in mother nature, that are off the beaten track, and sleeping in the wilderness accompanied by spectacular landscapes. Day 1: Cusco – Red Valley (L, D)

An early morning departure with your guide from Cusco and drive to the start of our amazing expedition. Our trek takes us through the Peruvian Andes, hiking for about 4 hours to Red Valley (4500 mt.) observing the incredible scenery.  We will relax at our first campsite and enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by our personal cook. After, lunch explore the stunning countryside with its dramatic mountains and valleys. In the evening enjoy a delectable dinner with fresh ingredients and sleep under the stars in nature.

Day 2: Red Valley –  Rainbow Mountain – Ananta Grande (B, L, D)

This morning we start off early, with a hearty breakfast, and a bright blue sky. We will hike to Vinicunca, Rainbow Mountain (5040 mt.) passing beautiful scenery of the imposing Andes Mountains climbing up to the top of Rainbow Mountain to take many pictures and catch sight of the spectacular snowy Ausangate. Following our exploration, we continue hiking until we find a nice spot for lunch with an amazing backdrop. We continue hiking passing small rivers, streams, wonderful glacial lakes, and hundreds of alpacas and llamas in their natural habitat. After a great hike in the Peruvian Andes, we finally arrive at our campsite at Ananta Grande to unwind and relax and have a cup of hot chocolate.  Then enjoy a hot dinner before reclining in your comfortable warm tent.

Day 3: Ananta Grande – Huchuy Phinaya (B, L, D)

A new day begins, with a delicious breakfast, in the Peruvian Andes with hundreds of alpacas and llamas grazing in nature. We will hike to the viewpoint at the imposing sacred mountain of Ausangate, where we will appreciate turquoise lagoons that reflect these stunning snow peaks. Our cook will have a warm enriching lunch, in the middle of the mountains. After lunch we continue hiking until we reach our campsite at Huchuy Phinaya, where you will relax and free time to explore the area. Then feast on a scrumptious Peruvian dinner before retiring to sleep under the night sky.

Day 4: Huchuy Phinaya – Quillita (B, L, D)

Awaken in the morning by the sweet birdsong and have a delicious breakfast praising the imposing Peruvian Andean scenery. Start off hiking on our wonderous trail in route to Quillita. We will pass incredible landscapes, pleasing our eyes to our next campsite to have a wonderful lunch prepared by our cook. Take pleasure in exploring the area and taking fantastic pictures. Later on, enjoy dinner and then it’s time to rest.

Day 5: Quillita – Mormorani  (B, L, D)

Today, we will have an energizing breakfast to prepare us for the long day ahead of us. We will hike along the amazing route of the Incas and climb to the condor pass (5220 mt), the highest point of our trek, in the spectacular Andes Mountains of Peru. Appreciate the magnificent views of the glaciers of the cordillera Vilcanota catching imposing views of the tropical snow-capped Quelcca.  After an incredible visual experience, its time for an appetizing lunch. Thereafter, continue hiking until reaching our campsite at Mormorani near the stunning  Lake Sibinacocha where we will see the immense lake with its clear waters. Relax and have a delicious dinner before hitting the sack to get well rested.

Day 6: Mormorani – Ccascara (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we will continue our hike around the shores of the majestic Sibinacocha lake, a natural wonder hidden in the Peruvian Andes. This will be a totally unique and unforgettable experience where you will be able to be in awe of the surrounding snow-capped mountains covered in ice for thousands of years. These sacred mountains called Apus were, and still are, the ancestral deities of the Incas and now to these humble communities native to the area. We will have lunch on the shores of this incredible deep blue lake in the middle of the spectacular Andes mountains of Peru. Following our short rest and lunch, we will hike to another wonderful lake for an opportunity to go fishing. The local people will accompany us onto the lake. Make sure to catch many fish so our cook can prepare this fresh delicacy for dinner. We will make our way to our campsite at Ccascara where our professional Kallpa staff will keep us cozy and happy.

Day 7: Ccascara – Phinaya – Cusco (B, L)

Today is our final day on this incredible hike in nature amidst the Peruvian Glacial Mountains. Bid farewell, to this sensational experience in Quechua, “tupananchiskama” which means “until we meet again”.  We will hike to Phinaya, a picturesque community, where our vehicle will be waiting to take us to Cusco. This concludes our fantastic expedition in nature.
